Outlook Web & New Outlook

Install via the browser — the add-in syncs to all your Outlook clients automatically.

  1. Download cargomind-manifest.xml using the button above
  2. Open https://aka.ms/olksideload
  3. Under "Custom add-ins", click Add a custom add-in > Add from file
  4. Select the downloaded cargomind-manifest.xml and click Install
Works everywhere
Once installed via Outlook Web, the add-in automatically syncs to all your Outlook clients — including Classic Desktop and New Outlook.
Alternative: Add from URL
  1. In Outlook, click Get more apps > My add-ins
  2. Under "Custom add-ins", click + Add a custom add-in > Add from URL
  3. Paste:

Classic Outlook Desktop

For Classic Outlook on Windows, download and run the installer batch file.

  1. Download and run CargoMind-Install.bat
  2. The installer will check for Node.js (installs it automatically if missing)
  3. Sign in with your Microsoft 365 account when prompted
  4. Restart Outlook — the add-in will appear in the ribbon

For organisation-wide deployment, use the Microsoft 365 admin center to deploy the add-in to all users centrally.

Personal Microsoft Account

For personal accounts (@outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com), install through Outlook on the web.

Before you begin
Download the cargomind-manifest.xml file using the button above. You'll need it in Step 4.

Open outlook.live.com and sign in. Click the Apps icon (grid) in the toolbar, then click Get add-ins.

In the Add-Ins for Outlook panel, click My add-ins on the left. Scroll down to Custom Addins and click + Add a custom add-in.

From the dropdown, click Add from File...

Navigate to your Downloads folder and select the cargomind-manifest.xml file.

A warning dialog will appear. Click Install to confirm.

The add-in is now installed. You'll see CargoMind with an "Added" badge under Custom Addins.

After installation
The add-in will appear when you open any email. Look for the CargoMind Enhance button in the toolbar or under the "..." menu.
Why is this different from Business?
Personal Microsoft accounts don't support the aka.ms/olksideload shortcut or the automated .bat installer. The manual upload shown above is the supported method for personal accounts.

How to use

Open any email in Outlook

The add-in activates automatically when you open an email.

Click CargoMind Enhance in the ribbon

Find the button in the toolbar or under the "..." overflow menu.

Auto-detect fires instantly

The taskpane scans the email for container numbers (e.g. CSNU2663430) and job references (S*, C*, B*) automatically.

View shipment details

See shipment, consol, brokerage, and bill of lading details — or upload attachments to CargoWise eDocs.

Same manifest for everyone
All users install the same manifest.xml — your login determines which client data you see.
