Installation - Outlook Web

  1. Download the manifest.xml file using the button above
  2. Open https://aka.ms/olksideload (opens Add-ins panel directly)
  3. Or manually: Open Outlook on the web (outlook.office.com) > Settings (gear icon) > View all Outlook settings > Mail > Customize actions
  4. Under "Custom add-ins", click Add a custom add-in > Add from file
  5. Select the downloaded manifest.xml file
  6. Click Install when prompted

Installation - Outlook Desktop (Classic)

For Classic Outlook, open PowerShell and run:

Then restart Outlook.

To Uninstall or Update
Run the uninstaller first, then reinstall:
Note for Administrators
For organization-wide deployment, use the Microsoft 365 admin center to deploy the add-in to all users.

Installation - New Outlook

For New Outlook, install via Outlook Web first, then enable sync:

  1. Install the add-in using the Outlook Web instructions above
  2. Open New Outlook → Settings (gear icon)
  3. Go to General → Sync across Microsoft 365
  4. Enable "Use my Microsoft 365 settings"
  5. The add-in will now appear in New Outlook
Alternative: Direct sideload in New Outlook
  1. Click Get more apps → My add-ins
  2. Under "Custom add-ins", click + Add a custom add-in → Add from URL
  3. Paste:

How to Use

  1. Open any email in Outlook
  2. Click the CargoMind Enhance button in the ribbon/toolbar
  3. The taskpane automatically detects container numbers (e.g., MSCU1234567) and MSC references (e.g., MEDURL270952) from the email
  4. Click Search CargoMind to look up the detected references
  5. View shipment, consol, brokerage, and bill of lading details in the results
